It’s about relationships. It’s about lifestyles. It’s about choices. It’s about the music.
Noah returns to his hometown of Minneapolis , MN from Austin , TX on a
business trip with his girlfriend/ co-worker Pamela.
He re-visits old haunts and encounters old friends that lead
him back to the rock and roll life that he thought he had left behind.
He and Pamela go to the Turf Club where Noah’s band
called Twisted Pelvis used to perform.
Does Noah miss the old rock and roll dream?
Pamela meets Bolt, Noah’s old friend and manager of the band,
who’s still living the wild life that she doesn’t understand, and doesn’t want to.
Bolt invites them back the next night to see his new bands, All the Pretty Horses, and Likehell.
The next day, the longest day, the Summer Solstice, turns into the longest night.
A rough day at work, a bottle of wine at Hidden Beach ,
a chance encounter with an old girlfriend, and a return to the Turf Club,
they all set the stage for an evening of rock and roll.
Bolt’s girlfriend Jade tries to seduce Noah, while Bolt makes the moves on Pamela.
She flees the scene and happens across a hippie kid who reminds her of her runaway brother.
She tries to help him escape the street life.
Noah and Jade get the whacked out Bolt back to the warehouse,
where she has other things on her mind.
It’s about choices. It’s about decisions.
It’s about consequences.
It’s about the music.

Joe Kolbow (Noah)
Since Joe graduated from St.Olaf College in Northfield in 1999, he's been acting throughout the Twin Cities -- with the Great American History Theater, Park Square Theater, Playwright's Center, the Illusion Theater, Theater Latte Da, Shakespeare in the Park and the Minnesota Opera. He was also seen in the Minnesota independent short film, ‘The Like Girl’. In the fall he's off to attend the two-year MFA/ Professional Actor Training Program at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Then it's on to New York City for his shot at stardom.
Heather Knochenmus (Pamela)
Ever since she can remember, Heather has had a passion for film and TV.
She grew up on a dairy farm in Roseau , MN , and has been acting in the Twin Cities for the past eight years. She has focused mainly on roles in independent features like ‘Now Hiring’ and short films like ‘The Perfect Haiku,’ ‘The Karaoke King,’ and "Remorse’ and is also writing a screenplay. In the meantime, she likes reading, singing, hiking, anything outdoors -- canoeing, biking, horseback riding, rollerblading, etc.
Dave Quimby (Bolt)
His punk mug has been featured in 11 films, including New Line Cinema's ‘Sugar & Spice’ and Fox Searchlight's ‘Joe Somebody’. His band, the Subversive Scuba Looters, rocks. He recently relocated to New York City in hopes of living out his dream as a highly-paid actor/writer/rock star or cobbler. If you absolutely have to reach him for emergencies, it's quimbydave@hotmail.com . His last advice upon leaving town, ‘Love this film or be destroyed!’
Analiese (Jade)
As far back as she can remember, Analiese has been acting out,
dancing, singing and playing the piano, so getting cast in ‘Summer Solstice’ is a joy.
And it's been a great break from tough semesters at the University of Minnesota.
She graduates in the fall in Art and Anthropology (while at the same time working for a ‘living-wage’, sending letters to Congress on important matters and getting out on occasional ‘digs’ before entering into Law School. Unless, that is, she gets cast in more good roles.

Anthony Lewis (Hippie Kid)
A native of Lubbock , TX , Anthony was reborn in Minneapolis four years ago. He's been seen in the Tim Allen feature ‘Joe Somebody’ among other features, the hot TV series ‘Charmed’ and ‘Scrubs’ and TV spots like Farmers Insurance and Best Buy. Since ‘Summer Solstice’, he's flitted to Hollywood , where he's agented by Equiniox Talent. His hobby has been rollerblading and now, since moving to an ocean, he's discovered surfing.

Nadine Gross (Kylie)
Our blonde, blue-eyed Nadine has her Theater Arts degree from the University of Minnesota, including study in voice, movement and directing. Besides her acting credits at the University, she had won principal leads in 10 films, including our ‘Summer Solstice.’ Other titles include ‘Screams Last Summer’ by the Dream Factory Studios, Wayne Johnson's ‘Ultro-Pep,’ Jon Springer's ‘Heterosapiens’, and Todd Wardrope's ‘Nuada’.
